Enemy Of The Wait

Enemy Of The Wait is my personal collection of poetry, written over the past 25 years. It reflects a journey through love, loss, war, struggle, and resilience. Writing has been my therapy—my way of making sense of life’s chaos and clarity. My hope is that these words will resonate with you, lifting you in moments of triumph and fortifying you in times of despair.

My Will

June 8, 2024

What will happen when I ultimately die
I’ll hover gracefully within the clouds in the sky
One peak away through a telescope
So my lover will never have to say bye

We will speak through a beating heart
Giving each day a heaping start
Where I will remain a lit candle in her palm
So we will never feel apart

I will remain the heat in each coffee sip
Kissing her with each cups touch of her lip
Warming her body to make her feel safe
While stroking her with every move of her hip

As long as she is I will always be
For she is always the lock and key
I will always and forever love you
That is the only guarantee

Love Duet

January 18, 2025

Living without you is empty and stale
Waking up each morning tired and pale
Living as a blind man who cannot read braille
Come back with the key to this jail

I want you to hold me and whisper in my ear
Telling me that I have nothing to fear
So we can jump in joy with nothing left but to cheer
These are the moments where everything becomes clear

Clear as the clouds playing hide n seek with the sky
And your passion becoming my closest ally
A treasure you can only find and never buy
Leaving a love story I will always abide by

Let us remember the day we crossed paths and met
And with the first kiss you erased all my past debt
Where our hearts synchronized like a love duet
This is a day we’ll never forget

Please Tell Me Why

February 5, 2024

How it hurts when my Mom told me I don’t want to die
All I can do is look deep into her soul and internally sigh
There’s never been a problem I can’t solve
But this one I can’t, please tell me why

It will be a miracle if she survives until July
No matter how much we try and try
They believe prayer can heal the suffering
But this one they cant, please tell me it’s a lie

Life can take you low and can take you high
In this truth you can absolutely rely
Sickness can usually be fought
But this one it can’t, please tell me it will be shy

The end is near which we can’t deny
Death is the only thing in infinite supply
What does it cost to beat death
But this time we can’t, please don’t tell me goodbye

Remain The Sheep

August 7, 2020

Headlines read disaster and remain the sheep
How can this stupidity run so deep
The awaken are left to gather and sweep
While the ruling leave disaster for us to reap
How can a nation be sold so cheap
Leaving the widows to bang their chests and weep
Wake up you fools from this coma-like sleep
And let the children of the future rise and leap
